Caring for your tree
Fresh Cut.
Before you bring the tree into your home and place it in a stand, it’s best for a fresh cut so the tree can drink water. We offer a fresh cut as part of our delivery service and at the North Market. If needed, trees can be temporarily stored for several days in a cool location. Place the freshly cut trunk in a bucket that is kept full of water.
Water.
Did you know that a freshly-cut tree can consume a gallon of water in 24 hours! Always keep the tree stand with water and never let the water level go below the tree’s base.
Keep it cool.
Keep the tree away from heating ducts or other heat sources. The lower the temperature, the better the tree will do.
